I think there will have to be a future option in which the OS regards every tap as a click - so if you'll bear with me. Simon, many people will hate you just because you said the heathenous word "Mac." I own both Mac and Windows systems and happily game on both of them.Īnyway, I think it's an OS issue because there are many places I've also noticed where the tap to click will not work outside of Steam.

Nope no support for Mac, Nothing on store page about Might want to look at requirements b4 buying you're next game ) Last I was aware this game is not supported on mac. So just because most other PC manufacturers produce crappy trackpads doesn't mean the functionality of my computer's trackpad should be artifically disabled by this game. The 8-year old Neverwinter Nights 2 doesn't disable features of my trackpad. I play many other games including Tropico and even advanced games like Neverwinter Nights using the trackpad with no problems whatsoever. Many other functions such as single left click, right click and scroll/zoom can be performed without the physical click but the "touch click". For instance, click and drag behaviour does require a manual (physical) click with one finger and drag with the other (the whole trackpad clicks) but this is very easy. Perhaps you're not familiar with Apple laptops but their trackpads are large, have multi-touch support and work equally as well as a mouse if not better. Ursprungligen skrivet av Simon:Thanks but I looked there and there's nothing to re-enable tap-to-click ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Many games indie and otherwise are now not supporting the double tap at this point because of unstable behaviors and accidental double taps. I have a laptop and I hate gaming with the track pad. You'll need to click and drag and often and TBH double tapping and dragging will be one huge PITA. There are settings in the game for mouse behavior but I'll be honest you're better off gaming with a mouse anyways. Like I said I've never noticed any other app or game exhibiting this behaviour.

I'm running Windows 8.1 Professional fully patched and updated on an early 2013 15" Retina MacBook Pro. I don't see why a game should disable core hardware-level features.

If this isn't fixed I'll just have to turf the game, complain to Steam and probably steer clear of any sequels. I took a chance on buying this indie game because of generally positive reviews and I like city building sim games. This comes across as really poor and amateur programming.

Surely tap-to-click support is a relatively system-wide function? I honestly can't see why it's not working in Banished as I've never seen this problem in any other app. Manually clicking my trackpad is annoying and loud.
